Ministries
Emmanuel Lutheran Fellowship offers a diverse range of Christian ministries designed to support spiritual growth, community connection and practical care for people at every stage of life.
Home Groups
We have a thriving Home Group ministry at Emmanuel. We understand that if we engage our faith with others, share in the blessings of community, study and laugh with each other, then we will grow in a deep relationship with God. We have a pastoral care team who help to place people in small groups, and you don’t need to be a part of our worshipping community to be involved in one.
Pastoral CareTeam
The Emmanuel Lutheran Fellowship Pastoral Care Groups is a small prayer and action group of men and women who provide pastoral care for the Pastor and for members and friends of the congregation who are in need. They offer Home Communion visitations for those unable to join us in worship. Their role also includes supporting Home/Small Groups and prayer Warriors.
Worship Planning Team
This group of women and men meet regularly with the Pastor to plan and pray for the style and content of Worship Services at Emmanuel. The Team comprises representatives from Music Ministry, those providing thematic messages, Pastoral Care Team as well as those supporting worship as worship leaders, sound and data operators, and children’s ministry. The result is a series of coordinated and powerful worship experiences for the whole congregation and visitors. Holy Communion is offered fortnightly.
Music Ministry
Emmanuel is blessed to have a number of talented musicians and singers who share their gifts with the congregation through powerful music ministry supporting our worship services and events. Beyond Sunday worship, this important ministry fosters deeper interpersonal connections and contributes to the identity, health and growth of our congregation. Whether you can sing lead, provide harmonies play keyboard, guitar, drums, bass, brass, or strings or operate a sound desk there are many opportunities to join in and support this important ministry.
Seniors Fellowship
Gather & Graze - Our plus 50’s are not simply forgotten, but embraced because of their wisdom, experience and desire to see the generations after them growing in faith. Once a month, the Plus 50's group gathers together for laughs and friendship over a cuppa at one of the beautiful cafes that we have in Toowoomba.
Men’s Breakfast
Hosted at least quarterly on Saturday mornings, the Men’s Breakfast events provide a relaxed opportunity for Emmanuel’s men to gather for fellowship and conversation, and they often feature a guest presenter who leads a short talk or discussion.
Engage Youth
Engage Youth is a cross-congregational youth ministry which hosts fortnightly youth events during school term for all high school aged and senior primary school aged youth. Originally established with support from an LLL Mission Grant Engage Youth is lead by a part-time Youth Coordinator who is employed by Emmanuel but serves youth across other Lutheran congregations across Toowoomba and the Darling Downs.
