Since its inception, Emmanuel has been focused on engaging our young people, working with the boarding community of Concordia Lutheran College, and journeying with them through these often-challenging years of life. Our young people are engaged in bible study groups and we support them to attend and be nurtured at Lutheran Youth Queensland (LYQ) camps. If you want to find out more about these camps, visit the LYQ website.
We are excited to announce that a new youth venture has started in 2018. LYT - Lutheran Youth Toowoomba! Young disciples filled with the Spirit, lyt for Jesus. "Never let the fire in your heart go out. Keep it lyt. Serve the Lord." (NIRV) Romans 12:11
Who: All high school aged youth
When: Every third Sunday of the month
Time: 5.30-7.30pm
New people are always welcome.
We have a thriving Small Group ministry at Emmanuel. We understand that if we engage our faith with others, share in the blessings of community, study and laugh with each other, then we will grow in a deep relationship with God. We have dedicated people who help to place people in small groups, and you don’t need to be a part of our worshipping community to be involved in one. Contact us if you would like to be a part of a small group.
Our plus 50’s are not simply forgotten, but embraced because of their wisdom, experience and desire to see the generations after them growing in faith. Once a month, the Plus 50's group gathers together for laughs and friendship over a cuppa at one of the beautiful cafes that we have in Toowoomba. Contact us for more information about the Plus 50’s group.
Matthew 28:18-20
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
1 Peter 3:20-21
In Noah’s ark only eight people were saved from drowning in the flood. And this is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you by the power of Jesus Christ’s resurrection. Baptism is not a removal of dirt from your body; it is a clean conscience before God.
Romans 6:4-5
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection.
If you’re interested in baptism please contact us.

Emmanuel is a big family! And like most families, we love hanging out with each other. Be it at our morning tea after worship, or one of our social events, there is always love and laughter being shared. We have family fun days, bike rides, fishing trips, breakfasts, and many other regular events. Keep an eye on our Facebook feed, or our upcoming events for more information.
The Mustard Seed is Emmanuel‘s community mission where our vision is to be Jesus with skin on in our community. Our work at times is small, but our mission is that what we plant may grow an intimate relationship with Christ in someone else.
The Mustard Seed is a continually evolving program. If you would like to be part of the committee or have any fundraising ideas, please complete an information form.
At Emmanuel, we believe that passing on the faith is a privilege that Jesus has blessed his church with. We will hold yearly First Communion courses, for anyone who wishes to receive the true body and blood of Jesus in Holy Communion. For young people who wish to make a public declaration of their faith, we also practice confirmation. This practice dates back centuries and allows a young person to declare that they will be responsible for their own faith.
