Jesus Christ is Lord!
He is true God, my Lord, who has redeemed me from death and from the power of the devil with His holy, precious blood and with His innocent suffering and death, so that I may be His own, live with Him and serve Him in everlasting righteousness.
Jesus has risen from the dead, lives and reigns eternally.
All are welcome
Jesus welcomed everybody – children, infants, the physically and mentally ill, prostitutes, social outcasts, the poor, destitute and hurting. Everyone who wanted to come to Him was welcome. Everyone’s relationship with Jesus starts at the foot of His cross where not one of us has anything to boast about!
‘The church leaders complained that Jesus welcomed sinners and ate with them…Jesus declared there is more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons' (Luke 15:2,7).
Love changes us
Would you say that your life ever changed for the better because someone beat you over the head with a rulebook, lectured you, or terrified you? We all know that just doesn’t work! What really makes the difference in our lives is love. In order to thrive, everyone needs love. The love that makes the REAL difference in life is the love of God showered on us through Christ Jesus.
Learn what you can offer
Everyone has skills, gifts and talents to bless others and contribute to the well-being of the fellowship of believers and the wider community. It’s time to throw out old clichés, to listen and hear God’s call on our lives in new ways. Let’s be prayerful people of purpose and vision sharing the Gospel as pastoral leaders train and equip us according to our God-given gifts.
Share Jesus and His love
The love of Christ sets you free. It changes you! When you know Jesus, all that matters is your faith that makes you love others (Galatians 5:6). Jesus frees and emboldens you to do the impossible! Give yourself courageously to be part of what God is doing in His world. Like Peter and John, tell your friends, co-workers, footy team, club… we cannot keep quiet about what we have seen and heard (Acts 4:20).
Dare to do the impossible, for with God nothing is impossible!
